A Train Called Time

Charles stepped away, from the train of Time,

He’s dropped his bags and left his mark.

With a look behind, he relived his past,

On this express journey, he called his life.

What a tour it was, what a path he walked

All those cold yet lovely night he he fought

what a wonder the warmth a smile had brought

What a laughter, his sons had caused

Now He remembered the comfort of Friends, That accompanied his Ride.

And the tears of many filled his heart

What an incredible, audacious Life. He said

as he left this train we all call Time

His Love

Tik tok, tik tok his watch Sang aloud

Dum Da, Dum Da his heart drummed along

With Sweat down his sleeves, and a bite on his lips,

His Eyes reached out, seeking to find her.

There wasn’t much to the ring he gave.

A little bit of Gold in a crowd of unpolished copper,

But there was truth to his soul with every word he spoke.

He had a sea of Joy tucked behind his Laughter.

And an Ocean of tears, her words calmed under.

To him this was Love

Were You Like me

Were you ever like me? Lost In a race, to outrun time.

Puzzled and awed at the complexity of life?

Did you travel a path, discovering a lie ? Indulging a thought, and left deprived.

So again I ask, were you like me ?

What if today his Voice, you hear? A voice so ancient it breaks into time,

A Voice so peaceful it soothes the storms,

A Voice so true it, it deadens those doubts,

A Voice alive it, it lightens your path

So again I ask, Were you like me?
